This arrangement will increase the ability to widen EMQU research and partnership philosophy. As EMQU’s Inc.’s new partner, Medsoftsy will move the research timetable forward over the next two years. Their special approach to security, and to efficient management of multiple data center processes across varying systems, is key to producing next generation software for drone systems.
Medsoftsy has been part of the team since 2016, beginning with drone software development research. During that time we have become more focused on specific areas of what is needed in drone software, and the viability of future developments. EM Quantum is pleased to announce it has completed the first phase of its UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) development and has formed a new team to plan and implement a marketing strategy. The group will gather feedback from various companies and groups in this field for further evaluation. Once a plan is formulated it will be presented to the Board of Directors for final adjustments and approval.
A major challenge in using drones to monitor and collect data is the ability to compress and deliver the data in a safe and secure manner. One of EM Quantum’s main goals is to develop technology to compress video data. By reducing the size of the data we can make major advances in creating new software for drone use.
Drones can be used very effectively to monitor traffic and migration patterns of animal populations. A drone can navigate to a surveillance camera at a wildlife blind or a high traffic intersection. These cameras can be installed at a very low cost, with no wires or other physical connections. The drone can fly to that location, hover above the camera, and upload data that has been collected over a specified period of time. Using drones for data collection instead of technicians has a dual benefit – not only does it cost less, but there is no risk of injury for the technician, which can be an issue particularly in remote and difficult to reach locations. By improving data capability, a drone can collect data remotely and return safely.
